Liftshare chosen to represent the UK in European Awards

liftshare are celebrating being selected to represent the UK in the 2008 European Business Awards for the Environment.

Following their success in winning the RSA Business Commitment to the Environment award last year, liftshare have been selected from the best of the best to go forward to the awards as the UK entry for Best Environmental Product.

liftshare work with over 1,000 communities and businesses throughout the UK to help encourage and enable more efficient use of transport. By sharing their journeys liftshare members save more than 52 million miles and 16,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.

liftshare's founder Ali Clabburn said:

"This is such fantastic news. To be put forward to represent the UK in Europe is really exciting. It has taken us 10 years to develop this product and we now see demand for it from across the globe."
