Remember 1983?  If you were around then, you were probably dancing to Michael Jackson's latest hit, Billie Jean.   Did you wear ripped sweatshirts or were you more a fan of shoulder pads?  Perhaps you were sporting a trendy mullet??

One thing is for sure: if you were driving in 1983, you were only paying about 37p a litre.

But before that brings you close to tears, there’s something you should know: you still CAN effectively pay 37p a litre for petrol, if you just share your car with three other people!
