Steven Norris launches Sharethecar.org

Steven Norris yesterday launched Sharethecar.org – the new car-share scheme for the South West of London - which forms the latest addition to LONDON lift share and the national lift share
network.
Mr Norris praised the innovative new scheme and spoke with enthusiasm about the role of car-sharing in improving transport within South West London and the capital as a whole.
Highlighting the daily wasted resources on our roads, Mr Norris stated that:
“Single occupancy car-use is one of the greatest obscenities of our time”.
He went on to stress the role of car-sharing in expanding the transport choices available to residents in South West London, giving them an alternative means of getting where they want to go, when they want to go.
The new scheme, which was launched from the Colour House Theatre on behalf of the Borough Councils of South West London, is free to join and enables everyone in the area to find other people with whom to share their journeys to any where in London and any destination in the UK .
