Case studies - Event, festival & clubs - Glastonbury Festival
The Glastonbury Festival was our first branded scheme! We set it up for the festival organisers because they wanted to reduce the number of cars travelling to the site.
The scheme was promoted to all ticket holders, and we were given a free stand on the site as well. On the stand we erected a huge map notice board to help individuals to find others to share cars with to get home.
Most festival-goers tend to be very environmentally-conscious and keen to do what they can to reduce their impact, both in their CO2 emissions and through congestion in the area round the festival. Glastonbury (like the 20-or-so other festival schemes we run) has proven a great hit with people travelling to the site each year. To date over 5,500 people have joined the Glastonbury car-share scheme.
