At liftshare we encourage our visitors to walk, cycle and use sustainable transport (including car-sharing) wherever possible.
Our office is situated in the centre of Attleborough, about 15 miles south of Norwich.

Walking & cycling directions
Attleborough is generally flat, without busy roads, so is pleasant to walk and cycle around. The last section of the journey to our office is unlit, so if you are travelling after dark it is advisable to bring lights and/or reflective clothing.
From the railway station (10mins walk) turn left if you came from Norwich and right if you came through Ely. Walk up Station Rd and then follow the left fork along Connaught Rd, into the High Street. The office is just after Hargham Road on the left as you are walking.
From the Queen's Square bus stop (5mins walk), simply head down Exchange Street and join the above directions from the High Street onward.
The High Street bus stop is only a minute from the office (number 13 First bus service from Norwich only).

The cycling route is more or less the same as the walking one above, but please be aware that a clockwise one-way system operates in the town centre, so on returning ensure you go via Exchange Street.

Bicycles can be secured at the site and we have a bike lock if you require one.
Bus & coach directions
There are two main bus services that stop in Attleborough. Both of them include Norwich on their route and the 727 also stops at Thetford, Newmarket and the London airports. There are a couple of other National Express services that run daily, including one to London Victoria coach station.
From Norwich:
The number 13 bus service leaves the main Norwich bus station at 13 minutes past every hour and arrives at the High Street bus stop in Attleborough 10 minutes to the hour (a 40 minute journey). It is then a short walk to the liftshare office – please see the walking section. This route is circular so for the return journey the Attleborough times are the same. National Express service NX490 leaves Norwich bus station (35 min journey) going via Thickthorn park and ride (25min journey) roughly every 2 hours at half past the hour. Alternative services also run daily on the same route reaching Attleborough early morning and late evening time. These routes vary, so please see www.nationalexpress.com for full timetables and further details.
The coaches drop you off at Queens Square in Attleborough town centre, so either see the walking section or contact us beforehand to arrange a pick up.

From London or Thetford:
National Express service NX490 calls at Stansted Airport and Thetford (20min journey), once per day leaving Victoria Coach Station at 6.30pm. It reaches Attleborough lat 9.00pm.

Train directions
Attleborough is on the train line between Norwich and Ely. Trains run in both directions at least once an hour, taking roughly 20 minutes from Norwich and 40 minutes from Ely.
If you are travelling from London you can either get the train from Liverpool Street Station via Norwich or you can go from King's Cross via Cambridge.
If you are coming from the north then you will need a train for Norwich.

Taxi directions
Attleborough Taxis is a local taxi firm, contactable on 01953 456767. It will cost roughly £5 from Attleborough station and £30 from Norwich.
Driving directions
Please register your journey on the liftshare system or make informal arrangements to try and ensure you do not make your journey alone. Try a quick search
From Norwich direction: Take the second Attleborough exit (signed Attleborough & Watton) from the A11 which comes down onto Queen's Road. Turn left and follow the road until you reach the one way system and follow it around Church Street, Surrogate Street and Connaught Street and then follow the left fork in the road into High Street. The office is located just after Hargham Road on the left.
From Thetford direction: Exit the A11 at the Breckland Lodge roundabout and continue down London Road for approximately 2 miles. The office is located on the right hand side as the road becomes High Street, just after the Chapel Road turning on the left.
