Liftshare is a social enterprise – mission-driven rather than profit-driven. That's why you don't pay a penny to join.
We are able to fund our free services by providing individual car-share schemes to councils, businesses, hospitals, universities, events and business parks - helping them with parking issues, saving them money and reducing local pollution and congestion.

From humble beginnings on a student notice board, Liftshare has now seen over half a million people in the UK sign up to find a car-sharer.
The journey to where we are today has had many highs and lows, challenges and inspirations. We have encountered cynics - and people who inspired us. We have learnt many lessons – some tough, some exciting – as we’ve worked towards our mission: that everyone should have someone to share a car with.
