Car share to save your 20% during Energy Saving Week
25/10/2007

Liftshare is supporting Energy Saving Week, 22nd to the 27th October, by encouraging individuals throughout the UK to save energy by car sharing. By sharing your daily journey a typical carsharer will save approximately £1000 and a tonne of CO2 emissions a year, making car sharing one of the quickest and easiest ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Liftshare.com urges those who may not have considered car sharing as a sustainable option to give it a try and experience the many benefits for themselves during Energy Saving Week.

Wendy from Aberdeen explains her reasons for carsharing:
“Carsharing has enabled me to help reduce the environmental impact to our planet and save me a little cash at the same time”

Organised by the Energy Savings Trust, the theme for Energy Saving Week is ‘Commit to Save Your 20%’. The week aims to encourage individuals to implement energy saving measures at home, at work and when travelling.

Commit to save your 20% by registering your journeys at www.Liftshare.com and start to save energy, money and the environment.
