Hundreds of new members are expected to join the growing band of car-sharers saving money and helping the environment on 9 June.
National liftshare Day aims to increase awareness of the many rewards that come from car sharing – commuters who regularly share their journey save on average £1,000 a year in fuel costs and a tonne of CO2, whilst making new friends into the bargain! Companies with their own liftshare scheme reduce parking problems, staff stress and their carbon emissions, whilst widening their recruitment catchment areas and aiding in the delivery of their Travel Plans.
You can become a part of this increasingly popular network by signing yourself up on National liftshare Day – or finding out more about how your organisation can benefit from having its own scheme.
Well over 100 organisations have established their new car sharing schemes with us in the past year – along with thousands of individuals – increasing our total membership by over 120,000 since this time last year.
It is completely free for any individual to sign up and use our award-winning online journey-matching software to find someone else going their way.
