Earlier this year, Liftshare launched a nationwide video competition - asking "what does car-sharing mean to you?". The winner, Chaz Parvez, capitalised on his natural talent for comedy to create a fabulous two-minute film: The Joy of Car-Share.
"Chaz's video was so funny, it actually brought tears to my eyes," said Ali Clabburn, Liftshare's founder. "It was easily the winner - slick, charming and funny, but with a strong message about the many benefits of sharing your car rather than driving alone. He was a worthy winner of the iPad we offered for the best entry!"
"My Liftshare partner Mick and I had lots of fun making the film and we hope it will encourage others to car-share too," said Chaz, who works for Sussex Police which has its own Liftshare scheme. It is managed by Gill Gillies, who will also be using the film internally to encourage more staff to discover the numerous benefits of car-sharing. "Saving money in these difficult times is an obvious bonus, but Chaz's film shows it can be fun as well," she said.
