liftshare.com has been short listed as one of the top six environment companies in the UK .
The Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence, held in association with the Financial Times and sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry, recognise companies integrating responsible business practices into their mainstream operations and who are having a positive impact on the environment, workplace, marketplace and in the community.
lift share has been award a Big Tick owing to its ability to demonstrate a high standard of excellence in the way they integrate responsible business practices and the positive effect the work lift share does has on the environment.
So far the company have provided car share schemes to over 400 communities and have recruited well over 54,000 members. Figures suggest that lift share's members currently save the UK 14 million car miles per annum and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 5,800 tonnes a year.

lift share have also been short listed as one of the six regional finalists to go forward for national judging as the UK 's national example of excellence.
