Tesco Joins the Carshare Club

Tesco head office staff in Welwyn Garden City and Cheshunt are being encouraged to be more caring and car sharing.
Joining forces with the UK 's number one car-sharing company, liftshare, staff are now able to log on and find a car-sharing buddy.
Tim Hopson, Corporate Affairs Manager Tesco said: "Most of us drive to work on our own and assume that we don't live near any colleagues, but the reality is we probably do. By signing up for car-sharing we can all save money, look after the environment and even make some new friends with this innovative scheme."
The website is easy to use and will match up people who live nearby and have the same working hours. The website also features a calculator, which shows exactly how much money and carbon dioxide the car sharer is saving.
Jo Grudgings who works in Delamare Road , Cheshunt said: "I had no idea that a colleague of mine who sits 15 feet from my desk lives two streets away. It seems pointless that we both drive exactly the same route each day so we now car-share and save money and reduce our impact on the environment every day."
