The company, which is based in Attleborough, had already won the Regional round of the Microsoft Award for Innovation Through Technology. But last night the company was up against 7 others for the National Chambers of Commerce Award, which was hosted by John Sergeant.
The judges awarded liftshare the Highly Commended status, but the company lost the final round of their category to the evenings overall winners, DB Shoes Ltd.
Ali Clabburn, founder of liftshare.com is proud of the company's achievement:
“It's tremendous that the work of all the staff at liftshare.com has been recognised both regionally and nationally and I'm very proud of all that we've achieved. We're well on our way to achieving our mission in encouraging and enabling car-sharing across the UK and it's great that our successes have been acknowledged at such a prestigious event.”
