I can't activate my account
  • You should have received an activation email
    • If you did, click on the link within it to activate your account.
    • If you didn't, click here to request the email again
  • I have received the email but the link didn't work.
    • Copy the activation code at the bottom of the email and sign in to your account. Paste the copied code into the activation code box.

My permit hasn't arrived/how do I get my permit
  • I haven't setup a Budi Team
    • You need to set up a BUDi Team in order to receive a permit. For more information on this 'click here'
  • I have set up a BUDi Team but haven't received a permit
    • If your company is offering parking permits for carsharers, you will need to get in touch with the Carshare Manager. To do this, go to 'Contacts' and send a message to your Carshare Manager.

I have sent requests to share, but haven't had any replies
liftshare endeavours to keep members details as up to date as possible and prompts users to maintain their accounts, but this is not something we can enforce. We also encourage you to respond to share requests even if you are not interested.
  • Ensure your journey is still active
  • Give members plenty of time to respond as they may not check their Liftshare or email accounts regularly
  • If there is a telephone number to use, try that
  • Re-search and try to make contact with someone else

I can't setup a Budi Team
  • Ensure that you have sent a share request to the person you wish to BUDI up with
  • Ensure they have replied to your contact
  • Go to 'Contacts'
  • Select 'yes' to the question 'are you currently sharing this journey with x'
  • You will be prompted to set up a new team or to join an existing one

I need to delete my account/journey
  • Delete my account
    • Go to 'My Settings'
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page
    • Select 'Remove my account'
  • Delete my journey

I can't access my account
  • The system isn't recognising my log in details
    • Make sure you have entered the same email address that you registered with
    • Check the password you are using is correct (click here to request password)
    • As the log in details are case sensitive, ensure you are using the same case as registered
  • I can't view a log in page

I can't find my carshare partner(s) in the search results
  • Are you in the right group?
    • Check you are in the right private group by looking at your settings
    • Within the 'My groups' section, it will list which groups you are part of
    • If you are in no groups, but your carshare partner is, this is why you can't find them
  • Add yourself to the right group
    • Click on 'search for group to join', typing in the name of the scheme you wish to join
    • If multiple options are shown, select the one you need
    • You may need to enter a passcode to join your chosen group and can find this by contacting you carshare manager

I need to update my details as they have changed
Go to your 'Settings' page and change the details you need to. NB: if you change your email address, you will need to re-activate your account. You will be sent an activation email.

Why has no one contacted me?
liftshare is only a matching service, so it is important that members are proactive in their search and regularly log on to search for a match. As there are over 200 members joining everyday, just because there wasn’t anyone suitable to share with when you first joined and searched there might be in the following weeks.
